Remember Wishing for Warmer Weather? [Video]

With a record-breaking heatwave baking the Northeast this week, take a look at what Mother Nature hurled at the region a few months ago.

The sweltering heat enveloping the Northeast this week is something akin to living in a pizza oven.

It wasn't that long ago when Greenwich, all of Fairfield County, and, for that matter, the entire state of Connecticut was shivering as residents shoveled back-breaking mountains of snow. At the time, many were cursing Mother Nature and with resignation, voicing wishes for summer and warmer weather.

It seemed as though Greenwich Emergency Management officials were declaring a snow emergency nearly every week in an effort to let DPW crews clear the streets, and at times opened emergency centers. (This week one of those emergency centers - the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center is an official town cooling center.)
