Ex-1st Selectman Endorses Krumeich, Citing 'Leadership, Community Dedication'

To the Editor:

I am writing to endorse Beth Krumeich as First Selectman.  As a former First Selectman of Greenwich I know Beth has the two qualities necessary to succeed: leadership and dedication to our community.

Beth is a proven leader.  Beth moved to Greenwich 29 years ago when she married Ed Krumeich, a Greenwich native and seven-term member of the BET. While practicing full-time as a corporate attorney, Beth has also been an active community volunteer. She is past president of the League of Women Voters. She won the coveted Brava! Award from the YWCA for her work in organizing the Residents Council at Wilbur Peck Court, which also won a national award for the Greenwich Housing Authority.  She was Co-President of the North Street School PTA, member of the NSS School Improvement Team, a Secretary of the Central Middle School PTA and an active member of the GHS PTA from which her daughters graduated. She served as Secretary on the Board of the Junior League and led its environmental education committee. Beth also was a co-leader of her daughter’s Girl Scout troop and was an assistant coach for her daughter’s soccer team.

An accomplished attorney and an award-winning volunteer Beth has everything it takes to become an outstanding First Selectman. Please join me in voting for Beth Krumeich on November 5.
