Ex-GOP Chair: Tax Collector Laudonia 'Takes Job Very Seriously'

To the Editor:

Elected officials are always in the public eye.  Sometimes, however, an official does something out of public view that provides a greater insight into his approach to his job.

Republican Tod Laudonia, the Town’s twice-elected Tax Collector, has earned the designation of Certified Connecticut Municipal Collector by taking the State’s prescribed series of courses over several years, and then passing a rigorous examination.

Tod is the first - repeat, the first - Greenwich Tax Collector to have achieved this important certification.  Importantly, Tod was not required to do it.  He voluntarily did so in order to enable himself to do the best job he possibly can.  This speaks volumes about Tod - he takes his job very seriously.

I urge voters to re-elect Tod to his third term as the Town’s Tax Collector.
