Ex-Principal: Erickson 'Committed to Working Hard for All Students'

I am writing as the former Principal of Riverside School, now retired, to wholeheartedly support Laura Erickson, Democratic candidate for the Board of Education in Greenwich.  I do not live in Greenwich but I do know that the future of high quality education rests with those willing to roll up their sleeves and be a part of the solution.

Laura Erickson is highly qualified to be such a representative.  Her three children attended Riverside over a span of 10 years.  During that time Laura was a member of our very effective PTA.  She served on the executive board for two years and from 2006-2008 was the co-president of this organization. Collaborative, organized and extremely committed, Laura was a major contributor to the community that is Riverside School.

Laura served on the Board of the Greenwich Alliance for Education for three years.   I also serve on the Board and our terms overlapped by 1 year. Her work with the Alliance speaks to her commitment to provide educational opportunities for all students.

Laura has attended countless Board of Education meetings in addition to RTM and BET meetings.  She understands how important it is to speak up for education.

Laura Erickson will bring a strong knowledge base, an understanding of how to get things done and a willingness to move the district forward.  She is intelligent, caring and committed to working hard for all the students of the Greenwich Public Schools.
