Letter: Bernstein, Peldunas 'Bring Passion For Education'

We need people on the Board of Education that share a passion for educating all of our children. As the endorsed Republican candidates, Peter Bernstein and Brian Peldunas would bring that passion to the Board.

For two years as a PTA president, Peter worked with a team to promote several successful Parents and Teachers Working Together events focused on introducing parents to topics such as digital learning, self-esteem, reading and the changing math curriculum.

Brian's passion for a better math curriculum led to a positive change in the form of a cross-district effort among parents, teachers and administrators. The move to Singapore Math (“Math in Focus”) has positioned the district to improve student skills while being aligned with required curriculum changes.

Brian and Peter will provide leadership and stability. They will work together and with the other members of the Board. This is something we desperately need and should expect from our Board members.

They both have experiencing implementing digital solutions for corporations.  We need this experience given the advances we need to make regarding digital learning. They want to see digital learning used as a tool to provide personalized learning and raise achievement.

It is time for change. Peter Bernstein and Brian Peldunas have the skills, experience and passion to make that change happen.
