Letter: Krumeich 'Will Introduce New Vision for Greenwich'

To the Editor:

It is time to break up the Old-Boys-Network on the Greenwich Board of Selectmen.

The problem is that there is a lack of leadership from Peter Tesei and David Theis usually is a rubberstamp. A fourth term for anyone in any office is counterproductive. Besides it is time we had a woman in that office again. The Election of Beth Krumeich as First Selectman will end all that and introduce a new vision for Greenwich. Beth will shake up the status quo and provide the effective leadership long lacking on the Board of Selectmen.  As past President of the North Street PTA and an active member of the CMS and GHS PTAs Beth knows the importance of public education for the town of Greenwich. Too often it appears there is discord between Town Hall and the school board. Beth will cooperate with school officials and work together to ensure that all Greenwich students receive a first class education.

Beth Krumeich is an attorney with a distinguished career in private practice and as corporate counsel. Beth is a tough negotiator who also knows the value of bringing everyone together to reach consensus. Beth has been an active volunteer in our community who used her skills as a trained attorney to serve in leadership positions as President of the Greenwich League of Women Voters, Co-President of the North Street PTA and Secretary of the Junior League. She was awarded the Brava! Award from the YWCA for her work organizing the Residents’ Council in Wilbur Peck Court

With a majority of Beth Krumeich and her running mate Drew Marzullo on the Board of Selectmen the perspectives and priorities will undoubtedly change for the better. Please join me in voting for Beth Krumeich for First Selectman on November 5.
