Letter: Sherr 'Holds People Accountable for Their Actions'

Dear Editor: 

The only candidate for the BOE with a consistent track record of standing up for the parents and children and not the party BOSSES has been PETER SHERR. The party has been attacking him since he voted not to support Mr. Anderson for Board of Education Chairman. He told the party bosses that he could not support Mr. Anderson for Chairman well in advance of the vote and told them to get someone else because of his unapproved dealings with the former Superintendent and dealings without board knowledge. Peter has opened up the blinds on the goings on in the BOE and some do not like it, so as it goes, if you can't dispute the facts, you DISCREDIT the messenger. Peter has been standing up for the TAXPAYERS and FAMILIES and holding people accountable for their actions ever since he was elected. He has been pushing the BOE to raise the bar for higher educational excellence. We are ranked 27th in the state ! That is unacceptable especially with the amount of money we spend on our school budget. Peter has stood up for NOT to REDISTRICT or BUS students out of their NEIGHBORHOOD schools ! He will continue to stand up for all the taxpayers and protect our property values with an excellent school system. He will be answerable to us and not to PARTY BOSSES. Please join me in supporting PETER SHERR in his re-election.
