Letter: Sherr Puts 'Interest of Town First'

To  The Editor

Let's face facts. Incumbent Peter Sherr is being attacked in his campaign for re-election to the Board of Education for two reasons:

One, Peter had the courage and intellectual honesty to vote his conscience. Peter voted according to what he considered to be the best interests of the Town.  He refused directives to put party interests first.

Second, the nasty, vitriolic attacks on Peter follow the recent, deplorable pattern. Anyone willing to challenge the groupthink prevalent for too long on the BOE is subject to personal and unfair criticism.

Those who are not satisfied with the recent underperformance of the GPS, as well as those who do not want a rubber stamp BOE, must vote to re-elect Peter Sherr. He will continue to ask the questions which need to be asked, and he will continue to put the interests of the entire Town first and foremost.
