Letter: Town Clerk Budkins Is 'Diligent and Effective'

I have had the privilege of working with Carmella Budkins for the last 21 years.  Over this period of time I have come to appreciate Carm as a friend and a true professional Town Clerk.

Greenwich has been extremely fortunate to have an experienced, dedicated, responsible Town Clerk overseeing the office, which is the keeper of the majority of the Town’s Vital Records.

During Carm’s tenure, the Town Clerk’s offices have steadily advanced in step with technology.  Transferring the town records to a computerized data system, while at the same time maintaining the written system, which, in turn, complement each other.  Most recently, Carm implemented an online data research system through the US Land Records to access the Land Records Online, a useful tool in the research field.

Carm has been diligent and effective in maintaining a quality staff that is trained in the latest technology.  Her staff are superb people to work with; cooperative and personable and always ready to help.  Carm’s oversight of the organization of the Town Clerk’s office and Vital Statistic’s Department has been and is exemplary.

As a lifelong democrat I strongly urge members of all parties and independents to vote for Carmella on election day.  We have a system in Greenwich and it works!
