Letter: When Selectman Marzullo 'Sees a Problem, He Gets it Solved'

To The Editor:

I am writing this letter to urge everyone to support Drew Marzullo for Selectman on Nov. 5.  I have known Drew personally for many years and you could not find a more thoughtful and reliable friend; someone who stands by your side and is the first to offer help if needed.  These traits have carried through to his role as Selectman.  In the four years ago since Drew was elected, I have turned to him on multiple occasions for help with local issues, most related to animal welfare and he has never disappointed.  First was a stray cat on the grounds of Town Hall that Drew spent a good deal of time trying to find and help.  Then I reached out to him to support the Wildlife Center of Fairfield County.  His first question was when can we meet so I know how I can help.  Then came the emergency pet evacuation project.  After Hurricane Sandy, I wrote to Drew about why pets were not allowed in our shelters and how we needed to correct this policy.  He immediately got on it and established a committee that has now succeeded in developing a policy that will allow pets in our town shelters.  When he sees a problem or issue, he gets on it AND gets it solved.  Without a doubt, one of the most important qualities you want in an elected official.  Oh, and did I say he makes an awesome judge at Adopt-A-Dog's Puttin' On The Dog!!!

Please join me in voting for Drew Marzullo for Selectman on Nov. 5.  If you care about the welfare of animals, you can't go wrong.
