Cancer Support Team's Annual Luncheon

The public is invited to Cancer
Support Team's (CST) 15th annual Gayle K. Lee Women’s Health Awareness Luncheon
on Thursday, October 10, at the
Westchester Country Club in Rye at noon with Anne Moore M.D. the
featured speaker. Dr. Moore’s presentation is entitled “Breast Cancer
2013: What You Need
to Know.” The Luncheon’s
goal is to heighten awareness of women’s health issues by emphasizing cancer
prevention and survivorship.

Dr. Moore is a Professor of Clinical Medicine and Medical Director of the Weill Cornell Breast
Center. Although Dr. Moore is primarily interested in patient care, she
is involved in teaching and research activities. Dr. Moore’s current clinical
research includes breast cancer clinical trials and, as part of the

Survivorship Program at the Breast Center, she collaborates in studies of side

effects of medications commonly used in breast cancer. She is an active member
of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and is listed among “The Best
Doctors” by American Health Magazine and by New York Magazine. Dr. Moore was a
pioneer, becoming one of the first female physicians in the 1970’s treating
breast cancer.
