First Sunday Science at the Seaside Center. Shellfish Demo: Can You Dig It?

 ,   Add to calendar
 Greenwich  See map

The waters off Greenwich Point hold some of the finest shellfish beds in southern Connecticut. Learn about the mollusks of Long Island Sound, including the historical and current status of shellfish populations. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the techniques of shellfishing and to keep their legal limit. We will meet at the Seaside Center but also visit active shellfish beds, so please dress appropriately (waterproof boots or sneakers that can get wet). Presented by the Greenwich Shellfish Commission and the Bruce Museum. For more information, call Peter Linderoth at 203- 413-6742 or email plinderoth@brucemuseum.org or Roger Bowgen at 203-243-6364 or rbowgen@joss.nl.

Seems to me you are missing the most obvious which is shown in the photo used at the top ofRead More Greenwich Patch pages - Grass Island Marina/Park is directly across the waterway. You won't be able to see much of the stage front but you can certainly enjoy the tunes.
