Fun Run/Walk for Uganda

Convent of the Sacred Heart, Greenwich will hold
its third annual run/walk fundraiser for women’s education in Uganda, “Run for
Ugandan Girls,” on Saturday, October 19 at the campus, 1177 King Street, Greenwich.

Registration will be held at 11:15 a.m.
and the 5K race will begin at noon, with a 1K fun walk starting at 12:15 p.m.

The proceeds from the event will help
support education for girls in Uganda.  Students in the Lower, Middle and Upper
Schools at Sacred Heart, Greenwich have sponsored a variety of fundraising
events from bake sales to fun runs for construction of the Sacred Heart Primary
School in Kyamusansala, Uganda.  Ongoing
tuition and academic support is provided by Sacred Heart students to help
African young women build better lives for themselves and their families.
