Greenwich Council "Honor Newtown. Make Your Voice Heard." Holiday Card Signing

The Greenwich Council Against Gun Violence is recognizing the one year anniversary of the gun massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary school by supporting the Newtown Action Alliance "Remember Newtown" holiday card initiative. The NAA holiday card carries a message of peace and hope, but also serves as a reminder for what needs to be done to address the issue of gun violence in America.

The Council will set up a table at the intersection of Greenwich Ave and Arch St. (in front of the old Post Office) from 11am to 5pm on Dec 7, 8 and 14 (weather permitting). We'll ask shoppers to sign NAA holiday cards, which we'll will send to selected members of Congress with a message urging them to pass universal background check legislation, reminding them that there is broad public support for commonsense regulation aimed at reducing gun violence in America.

Please stop by our table to sign a card, which we'll send to Congress on your behalf.
