Holiday Hair for Kids in Crisis at Becker Salon

In the spirit of giving back this holiday season,
Becker Chicaiza, owner of Becker Salon at 268 Mason Street in Greenwich, will
donate the proceeds from all his haircuts and other hair services to Kids in
Crisis on Sunday, December 15. The salon will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments
must be scheduled in advance by calling 203-340-9550.

Becker Salon has been a longtime supporter of Kids
in Crisis and has consistently donated to the organization through salon
promotions. A Kids in Crisis plaque is displayed in the salon that recognizes
the organization’s appreciation. In addition, this past spring, Becker Salon
awarded Executive Director Shari Shapiro with the salon’s first Leadership
Award.

Kids in Crisis (www.kidsincrisis.org) is Connecticut’s only free,
round-the-clock agency providing emergency shelter, crisis counseling and
community educational programs for children of all ages and families dealing
with a wide range of crises—domestic violence, mental health and family
problems, substance abuse, economic difficulties and more.  Since its
founding in 1978, Kids in Crisis, based in Cos Cob, has helped more than
118,000 Connecticut children and families; last year, more than 6,000 children
and families in Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Stamford,
Weston, Westport and Wilton received assistance from the organization.
