How to Make a Difference

How to Make a Difference

On Sunday, January 26, Round Hill Community Church in Greenwich, will welcome Bryan Nurnberger, the president and founder of Simply Smiles, as guest preacher for the 10:00 a.m. service. He will discuss the important work of his organization, Simply Smiles, a unique non-profit agency based in Westport, which is dedicated to providing bright futures for impoverished children, their families, and their communities. They are committed to bringing volunteers together with these people and their communities.

An important mission of the Round Hill Community Church is to commit time and resources to serve this community and the world. A trip is planned for the week of July 26 to August 2, 2014, to travel with Simply Smiles to the Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota, to help build a home and engage with their community, one of the poorest in the world. The “building” process will include games, piggyback rides, and other activities resulting in new relationships, happy memories, and smiles.

Everyone is invited to meet Bryan on Sunday, January 26, at 10:00 a.m. His wife, Kristen Graves who is the Connecticut State Troubadour, will also be here to take part in the Children’s message. The trip is open to all ages, and teenagers are especially encouraged to come and find out more about this service opportunity.
