Poetry in the Afternoon

A creative interlude before the holiday season will be
offered at the Byram Shubert Library, 21 Mead Avenue in Greenwich  on Saturday, November 16th at 2:00
p.m. when members of Greenwich Pen Women read their poetry and discuss the art
work from their new book, “Women’s Voices of the 21st Century:
Experiences that Shape Women”.  The book
features writing from the group’s poetry contest that was open to all Letters
members of the National League of American Pen Women and drawings by Art
members of the local branch.

Joyce French, president of Greenwich Pen Women will lead the
event and read a poem.  Local residents Marcia
Hamilton, Kay Langan, Judy Crystal and Valerie Stauffer will read and
Fereshtesh Priou will describe the creation of her illustration. There will be
time for questions and discussion will be encouraged.  Light refreshments, provided by the Friends
of the Byram Shubert Library, will be served.
For more information call the library at 203.531.0426.
