SCSU Forum on Millennial Generation and Generation Edge

We’ve all heard the stereotypes about the Millennial Generation – the good and the bad.

The Millennials (born roughly between 1982 and 1995) are arguably the most studied generation in American history. But what are the trends and what are just false perceptions? How do Millennials interact with older generations -- in the classroom, workplace and society? How is modern technology (such as cell phones and social media) affecting the interpersonal communication skills of this generation? What are the early trends of the post-Millennial Generation (Generation Edge), which includes those born after 1995?

Find out the answer to these questions and others at this upcoming SCSU forum, "Ready or Not, Connecticut, the Millennial Generation is Here!...And the GenEdgers Aren't Far Behind."

The program features keynote speaker Kim Lear, a generational expert for BridgeWorks -- a Minnesota-based company specializing in bridging generation gaps.

A focus group discussion will follow the keynote and will include SCSU faculty, SCSU students (Millennials), business professionals, high school teachers, high school students (Generation Edge) and parents. Audience Q & A will follow. Light refreshments.
