Sue Monk Kidd, author of THE INVENTION OF WINGS at Greenwich Library January 7th

Sue Monk Kidd launches her new novel, The Invention of Wings, with a talk, Q&A, sales and signing in the Cole Auditorium on January 7, 2014 at 7 p.m. Oprah has selected this powerful book for Oprah's Book Club 2.0. Kidd's first novel, The Secret Life of Bees spent more than two years on the New York Times bestseller list.

Inspired in part by the historical figure of feminist, suffragist and abolitionist Sarah Grimke, Kidd traces more than three decades in the lives of a wealthy Charleston debutante and the urban slave, Handful, who is placed in her charge as a child. Cosponsor: Diane's Books.  On-sale date is January 7th and books will be available for sale and signing.

This event is open to all, but seating in the auditorium is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m
