The New York Botanical Garden's new Native Plant Garden: living inspiration for bringing nature home

The Greenwich Land Trust is pleased to present a lecture with The New York Botanical Garden's Brian Sullivan, Vice President of Landscape Outdoor Collections and Gardens, who will discuss the newly opened Native Plant Garden. This beautiful 3.5 acre garden showcases flora native to the region in an innovative style, guiding visitors through a variety of local microclimates.  Plants selected for their ecological as well as their aesthetic value create an immersive environment teaming with wildlife.  The story of the garden's design and installation will inspire home gardeners, introducing them to a palette of beautiful plants compatible with local landscapes.

Light refreshments will be served and participants will be given a sampling of northeast native transplants to grow in their own gardens.
