Peter Tesei for First Selectman

Peter Tesei has earned the right to serve another term in Town Hall.

As I travel around this beautiful state and visit many of the 169 municipalities, I have gained a new and deeper appreciation for my home town of Greenwich. I have also realized how lucky we are in Greenwich to have Peter Tesei as our leader.

"The leader can never close the gap between himself and the group. If he does, he is no longer what he must be. He must walk a tightrope between the consent he must win and the control he must exert. " Vince Lombardi

If Coach Lombardi was alive and living today in Greenwich, I am sure he would approve of the job Peter Tesei has turned in. He has been that leader we needed, and yet has been diligent at forming the consensus  to move forward on many issues.

Peter has governed at arguably the most difficult and turbulent economic time in decades, maybe even since the 1930s. He has made the difficult decisions and kept a calm hand at the wheel as Greenwich, CT has remained the envy of the State of Connecticut. In fact, one magazine recently rated Greenwich number one in its peer group when factors such as taxes, services, and quality of life were considered. As Casey Stengel used to say, " ... and you could look it up!".

I urge my friends and neighbors in Greenwich to go out next Tuesday and re-elect Peter Tesei to another term in Town Hall. He has earned it.
