Greenwich High School PTA Benefit "Night on the Towne"

The Greenwich High School PTA Benefit, “Night on the Towne,” will take place on Friday, April 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Richards of Greenwich. The event will feature drinks, delectable hors d’oeuvres by Fairway Markets, and live and silent auctions with items generously donated by Greenwich area merchants and GHS families and friends. Veteran New York City television anchor and reporter Kendra Farn, and her husband, WTNH anchor and sports director Noah Finz, are serving as honorary emcees for the evening. Guests will have a chance to bid on exclusive auction items, including a cruise around the Statue of Liberty on a 62 foot yacht; a weekend getaway in a Bentley to Winvian Resort in Litchfield Hills; a week stay at Teton Mountain Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; two private tours of Peter Brandt’s art gallery--one with artist Josh Smith and the second with artist David Altmejd; and 9 catered dinner parties with a value of $500 each by Fairway Markets, Stamford.  After the festivities at Richards, guests are encouraged to dine at one of the many local restaurants that have partnered with Greenwich High School’s PTA to raise money for the school.

Major sponsors of this year's Benefit include Richards of Greenwich and the recently opened Fairway Markets in Stamford.  This is the second year that Scott Mitchell of Richards is graciously hosting the event at his Greenwich Avenue store, which has won numerous retail space design awards. Fairway Markets provided valuable expertise in event planning and catering, in addition to supplying the food, a large live auction item, some signage, goody bags, and more.  Benefit Chair George Von Tobel commented, “Due to the generosity and dedication of our volunteers, Richards of Greenwich, Fairway Markets, and everyone else who kindly donated to this event, we are looking forward to a second enjoyable and successful PTA Benefit at Richards.”

Proceeds from the Benefit will be used to fund PTA initiatives, including student outreach, field trips, scholarships, arts-in-education, job counseling/listing services, and educational equipment and supplies for the school. “Night on the Towne” is open to all parents, faculty, and friends of Greenwich High School.  For questions regarding auction donations, contact Jennifer Petersen at jenniferpetersen35@gmail.com.
