Patch Editors Pair up With STARelief to Restock the Pet Food Pantry

Please stop by the new Pet Valu store at High Ridge Center on Thursday, July 25th, from 1:00-4:00pm, where Patch editors and STARelief volunteers will pair up to conduct a pet food pantry drive.

Here's a great chance to make a big difference to a pet in jeopardy of being surrendered to a shelter. This Thursday, July 25th, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, at Pet Valu in Stamford, local Patch editors will team up with volunteers from STARelief, one of our PatchWorks projects, to reinvigorate their pet food pantry.

Patch is passionate about more than just local news. We are also passionate about giving back to the communities we serve. In this spirit of service, several local Patch editors will "Give 5" in order to help STARelief re-stock their pet food pantry.

Please stop by and say hello and consider donating any dog or cat food, kittie litter, toys, leashes, or any supplies you no longer need including crates, blankets, water bowls, etc. All donations will be gratefully accepted and help a family who might otherwise have to surrender their pet due to financial hardship.

STARelief's pet food pantry has made a great difference in keeping pets in their homes during these difficult economic times and every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference.

If you are unable to stop by in person, you might consider making a donation to STARelief through their PatchWorks project on Stamford Patch.

Pet Value is located in the High Ridge Shopping Center at 1137 High Ridge Road, just off the Merritt Parkway High Ridge Road exit. Directions
