Art Students Know 'What It Means to Live in Greenwich'

Greenwich middle school students have answered the call for art and to illustrate 'What It Means to Live in Greenwich.'

State Reps. Livvy Floren (R-149), Stephen Walko (R-150), and Fred Camillo (R-151) organized the competition in which the first-place winners' art will be displayed at the Concourse of the state Capitol.

The legislators recently visited Eastern Middle School to recognize the 81 students who participated in their art contest. First place was awarded to Sebastian Lee and the runner-up was given to Annie Frey. Both Sebastian and Annie received an official State Citation from the delegation, and their pieces will be on display in the Concourse of the Capitol. All participants were acknowledged with certificates of appreciation.

The representatives also visited Central Middle School to celebrate students who participated in the art contest. They awarded certificates of appreciation to the participants from Barbara Gotch’s sixth-grade class. The class created a group poster and a separate individual poster was submitted about the beauty of trees in Greenwich.
