Look at These Greenwich 'Happy Feet'

Winners of Greenwich Arts Council - Greenwich Recreation & Parks Department contest snow sculpture selected.

Spring is in the air and it seems that the winter's snows are but a thing of the past.

Greenwich Recreation and The Greenwich Arts Council held its 2nd annual Snow Sculpture Contest and received several photo submissions from Greenwich residents that included pirates, penguins, and snowmen.

The judges comprised of the staff of the Greenwich Arts Council — Cathie Harder Fuhrmann, Tatiana Mori and Paul Master-Karnik — had a difficult decision, but selected 'Happy Feet & Gunther' as the top sculpture.

'Happy Feet & Gunther' was created by Elizabeth Biederman, Madelyn Yu and Alexander Yu.

The Arts Council and Parks & Recreation Department said, "We hope to continue this winter tradition and encourage Greenwich residents to participate next year. A special thank you goes out to our sponsor ChillyBear (180 Sound Beach Ave., Old Greenwich) who provided the prizes to this year's winners."
