Boutique and An Evening with Designer Miles Redd launch Antiquarius 2012 for Historical Society

The Historical Society Holiday Boutique sets the mood for Antiquarius 2012—this year with a special lecture by noted designer Miles Redd who will talk about his latest work: The Big Book of Chic.

The Antiquarius Holiday Boutique, offering an exciting mix of new vendors and perennial favorites, will meet the demands of everyone’s holiday list. Shoppers can enjoy a cash bar and passed hors d’oeuvres on opening night Tuesday, December 4, or shop before, during or after the Holiday House Tour on Wednesday, December 5.

New this year, the Historical Society will celebrate the opening of Antiquarius with an appearance by celebrity designer Miles Redd. Known for his quirky brand of glamour, Redd will talk about his new book, The Big Book of Chic, a lavishly illustrated volume that features a glittering array of Redd’s inspired interiors. A Q&A session and private book signing will follow. Tickets are available at two levels. “Redd Carpet” level tickets ($250) include cocktails, hot hors d’oeuvres, lecture, Q&A session plus a signed copy of The Big Book of Chic. Tickets at the “Too Chic to Speak” patron level ($500) include all of the above plus reserved seating and recognition in the program. Doors open at 5:00 pm; lecture begins promptly at 5:30 pm. Space is limited.
