Greenwich Authors Talk: Reba and Dave Williams
Reba and Dave Williams, who both pursued long and productive careers in the world of business and finance, have now embarked on new careers as writers, drawing on experience as collectors of fine art prints by American artists. On Thursday, June 27, they will talk about their respective publications and the writing process.
Reba's mystery, RESTRIKE, was published this year and will be available for purchase courtesy of Diane's Books. Reba's overarching goal in her first mystery with an art world focus was to create two compelling characters, Coleman and Dinah Greene, whom she plans to feature in subsequent mysteries, including the second in the Series, Fatal Impressions, due out in March 2014. She grew up in North Carolina and earned an MBA at Harvard, a PhD in Art History at CUNY and an MA in writing at Antioch University.
David grew up in Austin, earned an MBA from Harvard and has attended MFA writing schools. David's book, Small Victories: A Print Collector's Story, will be released early next year, describing how he and Reba amassed what was thought to be the largest collection of fine art prints by American artists in private hands. After ceating 17 exhibitions from their collection that circulated to mroe than one hundred museums worldwide, they donated their amazing print collection to the National Gallery of Art.
