Community Update

Beware of doctor tacking on extra costs to your visit! Went in this morning to have 2 stitches removed in my daughter's foot, which was to cost $65. She also happened to have a cold/cough. We were asked if we wanted doctor to take a look at her for that while in the examining room. I was NOT told that this cursory look at her throat and ears and a lecture on sinus infections (which she didn't present any symptoms for) would cost an extra $200. When I got the bill upon leaving and I objected, the doctor agreed to take off the charge for the stitch removal instead, but that I would be charged for the "physical.". I would have pressed the issue if we hadn't been in a hurry to get to work/school (the reason we went there instead of regular doctor!). Feeling swindled :(
