Getting a 'Head Start' on Halloween

Employees of Morgan Stanley host students of the Family Centers Head Start program for Halloween.

The normally staid hallways of Morgan Stanley in downtown Greenwich were a little bit more colorful than normal and plenty noisy Thursday morning.

It was Halloween morning and the employees of the global financial services firm hosted dozens of costume-clad students from the Family Centers Arch Street Preschool. This is the second year the wee ones were treated to a Halloween parade through the Fawcett Place offices, according to Bradley Barber, a Morgan Stanley executive director who helped coordinate the visit.

There were Cinderellas, firemen, Spidermen, witches, Teen-Age Mutant Ninjas and police officers — both adult and pint-sized. One Morgan Stanley employee, dressed as a referee, waved a yellow penalty marker and said, "No penalty for being too cute," as the children waved and high-fived many of the workers dressed in costumes.

The children received goodie bags before leaving the building and stopping late morning traffic on lower Greenwich Avenue as they returned to the Family Centers headquarters on nearby Arch Street.
