Coast Guard Band Assists In NORAD Santa Tracking

Band Will Contribute To Radio Station On Official Site

NORAD, a military organization providing aerospace and maritime defense for the United States and Canada, is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colo. NORAD says the tracking is done with radar, geosynchronous satellites which read the infrared signature on Rudolph's red nose, a network of cameras, and even the occasional fighter jet escort.
