Scouts Celebrate 100 Years at 'Camp Centennial' Event

Celebrate 100 years of Greenwich Scouting at the CAMP CENTENNIAL event on Saturday, October 13th at 6:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich - campfire included!!

The Greenwich Council, Boy Scouts of America (BSA) centennial year celebrations will culminate with the CAMP CENTENNIAL event on Saturday, October 13th at 6:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich. This camping themed party, 100 years in the making, includes cocktails and an incredible dinner around the campfire!

Entertainment will be provided by Ernest Thompson Seton as the Master of Ceremonies (portrayed by an actor) and words about the high adventure future of Scouting from Jack Furst, a well-known philanthropist and president of Project Arrow, the company developing the BSA’s 10,600 acre Summit Bechtel Reserve.  A magical ending to the night will be created by world-renowned illusionist Bill Herz.

This year Greenwich Scouting celebrates their 100 year Anniversary of delivering quality programs to nearly 2,500 local youth annually. Scouting youth participate in fun programs that build character, foster volunteerism and explore the outdoors, all helping to prepare them for life. Through continued partnerships and the efforts of more than 300 dedicated volunteers, Greenwich Scouting looks forward to providing greater opportunities to boys and girls, through Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Venturing Crews, Explorer Posts and Learning For Life Groups for the next 100 years!
