Pet Super Adoption this Weekend!

Come out to The NY Pet Super Adoption event to meet more than 450 dogs, cats and rabbits available for adoption—this weekend in White Plains, NY

Best Friends Animal Society is sponsoring the 3rd annual NY Pet Super Adoption event this weekend in White Plains, NY at the Westchester County Center, 198 Central Ave.  Saturday hours are from 10am to 7pm, and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

There are more than 450 confirmed pets participating from rescues and shelters throughout the tri-state area. There will be dogs and puppies, kittens and cats and even rabbits—all available for adoption and ready to go home with you.

Some of the local rescue groups who will be participating in the event include Adopt-A-Dog, Inc. (Sunday only), Animals R Family, Bully Breed Rescue, Inc. and Cat Assistance.

Each of the participating rescue groups and shelters have their own adoption policies, applications and fees.  Adoption fees include spaying or neutering, updated vaccinations and microchipping.

Many of the shelters and rescues will do same-day adoptions, meaning you will be able to take your new best friend home with you from the event.  To make this possible, you are encouraged to have the following documents with you:
*  form of identification
*  letter from your landlord that you can have pets (if you rent)
*  contact information of your current veterinarian (if you have one) or contact information of personal references
*  your dog -- if you have a dog, you are invited to bring well-behaved dogs to the event for a 'meet & greet'

There will be pets of all ages, sizes and breeds.  Best Friends is dedicated to ending the practice of euthanizing pets—please consider adoption.  This event is designed to allow people to go to one location and see hundreds of available pets, without having to drive from shelter to shelter.

I hope to see you there!
