Marist College Open House for students with Learning Disabilities
The Learning Disabilities Support Program at Marist College
Whether your child is a sophomore, junior or rising senior, it is not too early to examine college options for your child with special needs. I have found, over the years, that Marist College has one of the most comprehensive and supportive LD programs that you can find in a challenging collegiate environment.
Marist boasts Division I athletics, class sizes that vary between 20-30 students and a Core Curriculum. They have seven academic schools to choose from including Computer Science and Math, Global and Professional Programs, Management, Liberal Arts, Science, Social and Behavioral Science and Communication and the Arts. Marist is located on the scenic Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, NY.
What you should know about the LD Support Program. First, students must apply to Marist AND submit a separate application for the Learning Disabilities Support Program. Students must submit psychological testing performed within the last three years, in addition to IEP/504 documentation. Other application requirements are outlined on the following link http://www.marist.edu/specialservices/prospect-ldis-admission.html
