Greenwich Animal Control Open House at the Shelter on North Street

Open house at the shelter Sunday, Oct. 14th, 10:00am - 2:00pm on 393 North Street. Check out the homeless adoptable dogs and cats here first!

Greenwich Animal Control (our town shelter) is having an open house

  • Sunday, Oct. 14th
  • 10:00am - 2:00pm
  • 393 North Street
    (next to North Street Elementary School)


The shelter is filled to capacity so spread the word! And let's find good homes for these wonderful animals.

Cookies and cider will be served!

Friends of Felines will join us with a great collection of adoptable cats!

*Editor's note: Greenwich Police Chief James Heavey says there are several cats and dogs waiting to meet future pet owners. "Some of them are strays and some of them, unfortunately, the owners couldn't take care of them any more." There is a screening process for prospective owners before pets are placed in homes, Heavey said.

Also, I'm curious whether animal control questioned your nephew -- there is a link between people who abuse animals and those who later abuse other people (and cats seem to be the 'gateway' to larger mammals). You did not mention his…Read More age, bu poor treatment of animals in youth is often a precursor to similar treatment/crimes against people in later years. I hope you have taken steps to correct this behavior, or have taken it up with his parents, if they are available.
