The Holidays are in at Greenwich High School!

The holiday spirit has arrived at GHS once again!

The holiday spirit has arrived at GHS once again. Whether the students are counting down the days to Winter Break, talking about  last night's "25 Days of Christmas" movie on ABC, or having fun at local holiday events, the buzz of holiday cheer has spread around the school.

Recently, the GHS Chamber Singers decided to take that cheer one step further. On Friday, the skilled group sang holiday carols at the . The variety of carols included introducing Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph to the many children. Between elf and santa hats, plush deer antlers, and cozy winter wear, the Chamber Singers were smiling from ear to ear as everyone joined in to sing 'O Christmas Tree' as the Town Hall tree was lit.

The group was also caroling at First Light. Members walked the stretch of Post Road on Saturday evening for an hour. I was able to catch them in front of Upper Crust Bagel and sing along. Senior chorister Ben Stein said, "I think it's great how we organized this ourselves. We had a lot of fun and I think we made a lot of people happy!"  Chamber Singer Beatrice Chessman agreed, quoting the holiday movie "Elf", saying, "The best way to spread cheer is singing loud for all to hear!"

There's still more to come for the GHS Chamber Singers. This week, they'll be performing in the Winter Concert and plan to carol on Greenwich Avenue in the future. I wish them good luck and happy holidays!
