Anne Tierney, 56; Artist, Historical Society Art Curator
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Nov. 23.
Anne Tierney, 56, of Greenwich, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at Hartford Hospital after a long illness. She was 56.
Born in Greenwich, on Sept. 7, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Judge William L. Tierney, Jr. and Dorita Dillon Tierney.
Ms. Tierney attended St. Mary's High School and graduated from the Convent of Sacred Heart in Greenwich. She was a graduate of Skidmore College. An accomplished artist and art curator, she had been employed by U. S. Tobacco Company in its museum and the Greenwich Historical Society.
Ms. Tierney is survived by her brother, Kevin Tierney of Greenwich; her sister, Virginia Kaas of Riverview, FL; three nephews, Scott Webster of Riverview, FL, Michael Tierney of Greenwich, and Sean Tierney of Denver, CO; and three nieces, Tracey Scott of Tullahoma, TN, Holly Kaas of Stuart, FL, and Kim Tierney Wang of Greenwich.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, 178 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary R. C. Church, 178 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830.
