Bernie Ferrari, 88; Retired Lithographer Who Enjoyed Gardening

Calling hours will be held Friday, Feb. 28 with the funeral on Saturday, March 1.


Bernard "Bernie" A. Ferrari, passed away on Feb. 25, 2014 at his home in Riverside. He was 88.

He was born June 11, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of Elizabeth and Bernard, one of nine siblings.

Before his retirement, Bernie worked as a lithographer. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid Mets fan.

In addition to his wife Teresa (Terry) of 66 years, Mr. Ferrari is survived by his children Gary, Robert and Barbara (Chris) Ottinger; grandchildren Michael, Tiffany and Anneliese, and great-grandchildren Isabella, Lena, Anthony and Violet. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday Feb. 28, at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich. The funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, March 1 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, North Street, Greenwich.
