Deborah Ann (DeLago) Porcelli passed away peacefully after a brief illness, with her family by her bedside on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was 59.
She was born in Greenwich Hospital on Feb. 27, 1954, the daughter of Helen and Joseph DeLago of Old Greenwich.
She attended Old Greenwich School and Eastern Junior High and then attended Sacred Heart Academy. She went on to study at St. Joseph's College in Bennington, VT. She was employed at the Hilti Corporation in Stamford for many years.
Debbie was a homemaker and an avid gardener, with an eye for detail and design. She had a passion for music, was artistically gifted, and an animal lover. She was loved by many and will be profoundly missed by those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her beloved husband Frederick of 37 years and a daughter Dana Ruggiero of Las Vegas, NV and two grandchildren Isabella and Anthony Joseph (A.J.); her sister, Cindy Fay of Spring Lake NJ and brother, Ken DeLago of Rowayton, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date with interment at St. Mary's cemetery in Greenwich. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Adopt a Dog or the ASPCA.
