Everdina J. Bausch, 89; Seamstress, Nathaniel Witherell Volunteer


Everdina J. Bausch, oldest of 14 children, passed away Nov. 11, 2013 at The Nathaniel Witherell nursing home. She was 89.

Born May 25, 1924 to the late Bernard and Hendrika Kloppenburg in Wehl, Holland.

Mrs. Bausch was schooled in the Netherlands to become a seamstress. She pursued this career as she moved to the United States in 1952. Mrs. Bausch was an avid volunteer for St. Mary's Sewing Guild and Nathaniel Witherell for more than 10 years. She has always been a loving, caring and thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was predeceased by her husband Oswald.

Mrs. Bausch was the mother of daughter Ricki and husband, Augie Morelli; twin sons Bernard Bausch and John, and wife, Lynn Bausch, and Karen, and husband, Michael Coperine; five grandchildren Dina Nickerson, Jason, Sheena and Kyle Bausch and Victoria Coperine, and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were by the  Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich.
