John "Johnny Boy" Manuli, 62, Mechanic, Greenwich Town Employee

Services are scheduled for Wednesday.

 

John "Johnny Boy" Manuli, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, lost his battle with cancer at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, NY on Feb. 4, 20. He was 62.

John is the youngest son of the late Philip and Emilia Marie Manuli, who together had four children.

John attended school in Greenwich, and worked for many years as a mechanic at Seymour Chevrolet and Michael Chevrolet in Greenwich. John was also employed by the Town of Greenwich for 14 years. John was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed attending races with family, along with collecting NASCAR memorabilia.

John married the love of his life, Kathleen Briotte, on October 22, 2012 after a 41-year life partnership.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister Carmela Billingham of Bethel; his brothers Thomas Manuli of Greenwich and Philip Manuli Jr. and his fiance Maria Sanzo of Mamaroneck, NY. John is additionally survived by four paternal siblings: his sister Patricia Zacchi and her partner Erik Caraballo of Port Chester, NY; his brother Richard Manuli; his sister Elizabeth Manuli; and his sister Carol Montagnese and her husband Ralph Montagnese of Trumbull, CT, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. His beloved cat Freddie also survives.

John was predeceased by his paternal brother Carmelo Manuli of Port Chester, NY in February 2004 and his nephew Timothy Billingham of Bethel, CT in October 2003.

Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave, Greenwich, CT. A rite of Burial prayer service will take place at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich.
