Lawrence T. D'Aloise, 97; Greenwich Resident Was an Advertising Executive

The funeral will be held Monday, Sept. 23.

Lawrence Thomas D’Aloise, 97, died peacefully on Sept. 16, 2013, at The Nathaniel Witherell in Greenwich.

Born in Philadelphia on July 31, 1916, he attended Camden Catholic High School and St. Joseph College.

Larry married the former Lillian Teresa Chromiec, moved to Greenwich, and undertook a long and distinguished career in advertising, working as creative director at several of the major New York City agencies of the time, including J. Walter Thompson and Dancer, Fitzgerald and Sample. He authored a number of self-help books and was still writing when he died.

Larry’s integrity, perseverance, incisive mind and insight were an inspiration to his family and friends and “He taught us a lot about life.”

He is survived by three children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at St. Mary Church, 178 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, North Street, Greenwich.

The Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich, is in charge of arrangements.
