Lena Emma passed away at her home surrounded by her family, on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013. She was 89.
She was born on Feb. 8, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Zizzi.
She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lena was an active parishioner for many years at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside.
Lena is survived by her children, Diane (Bill) Mullin, Mark (Pam) Emma, Denise (Todd) Wade, Ross (Leslie) Emma, and Paul (Linda) Emma. She is also survived by her sister Marge (Tom) Smeriglio; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Ross Emma, one sister and four brothers.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26 at St. Catherine of Siena Chapel, 4 Riverside Ave., Riverside. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greenwich Emergency Medical Service's (GEMS) P.O Box 423 Riverside, CT.
