Longtime Greenwich resident Mabel Keeley passed away on May 30, 2014 at the age of 99.

Born Mabel Sherwood in Greenwich, CT on August 18th 1914, Mabel was the last living Sherwood sister. Mabel was the youngest of six sisters (Edna, Grace, Marjorie, Helen and Minnie) born to Elizabeth and James Edward Sherwood. Mabel was predeceased by her parents, sisters, her husband James Keeley, daughter Marjorie Farish and granddaughter Nicole Farish.

Mabel and her husband James lived in the Glenville section of Greenwich, where they worked at the American Felt Company. Upon retirement Mabel and James moved to Venice, Florida where they spent 28 very happy years. Mabel returned to Greenwich in 2004.

Mabel is survived by her son James, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, son-in-law Albert Farish, granddaughters Nancy Farish and Allison Keeley, grandsons Jeffrey Farish, Scott Keeley and Steven Keeley, great-granddaughters Kate Farish, Jennifer Farish, Avery Gidumal, and Lauren Keeley.

The family would like to thank the nurses and aids at Greenwich Hospital Home Hospice for all of their help during the final weeks of Mabel's life.
