Margaret 'Peggy' Dowlin, 91; Greenwich Resident, Parishioner of St. Mary Parish

Margaret "Peggy" Dowlin, died peacefully among family on Friday, May 30, 2014. She was 91.

Peggy was born in Stamford on Dec. 29, 1922 to the late William and Frances Braunsetter Russell. 

She was the widow of John Dowlin who she married on April 20, 1968 in Greenwich. 

Peggy worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles in Stamford for many years. 
As a longtime resident of Greenwich she was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary Parish and was also an active member of the Emblem Club. 

Mrs. Dowlin is survived by her sister, Anne Saunders of New Canaan and her brother William Russell of Brookfield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 3 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Leo P Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary R.C. Church, 178 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich. Internment at St. Mary Cemetery, Greenwich.
