Mariantonia (Antoinette) Masi, 92; Long time Greenwich Resident

Calling hours to be held Thursday evening; funeral is set for Friday, Jan. 4.

 

Mariantonia (Antoinette) Masi, a Greenwich resident for 54 years, passed away on Dec. 31, 2012 at Greenwich Hospital. She was 92.

She was born in Castelgrande, Italy on Nov. 4, 1920 to the late Vincenzo and Brigida Muro.

She worked for many years at Kaychester in Port Chester, NY. Along with being a parishioner at St. Roch Church, she was a member of the St. Roch Seniors, AARP, Senior Center, and volunteered at The Nathaniel Witherell nursing home. She loved dancing, baking, crocheting, knitting, gardening and Italian cooking.

Mariantonia was married for 62 years Luigi Masi who died in 2009.

Surviving are daughters Ann Verrastro (Thomas) of Flanders, NJ; Brigitte Lundgren-Foscante (George) of Pleasantville, NY; her son Joseph Masi (Carol) of Cortlandt Manor, NY; her grandchildren Karen Walbridge (Bryan) of Royersford, PA, Daniel Verrastro (Heather) of Monroe, CT, Keith Lundgren of Greenwich, Marc Lundgren (Kelly Evans) of Milford, CT, Joseph Masi Jr. of Cortlandt Manor, NY and Michael Masi (Nicole) of Yorktown, NY; and her great grandchildren Matthew & Abbie Walbridge, and Daniel Jr., Sarah and Kyle Verrastro.

Family and friends may visit at the Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc., 134 Hamilton Ave. in Greenwich on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013  at St. Roch Church in Greenwich. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: St. Roch Church, St. Roch Ave., Greenwich, CT 06830.

The family would like to thank the Greenwich Police, GEMS, Dr. Steven Glasser, and her aide Rafaela and her daughter Oleas for all the wonderful care given.

Seems to me you are missing the most obvious which is shown in the photo used at the top ofRead More Greenwich Patch pages - Grass Island Marina/Park is directly across the waterway. You won't be able to see much of the stage front but you can certainly enjoy the tunes.
