Mary Caputo, 84; Long-Time Greenwich Resident, Volunteer

Mary V. Caputo passed away on July 7, 2014 at the age of 84.
Mary was born on Dec. 3, 1929 in Newark, NJ to Nicholas and Virginia Noia (nee Buttiglione).
Mary was a 56-year resident of Greenwich. She graduated from Port Chester High School and the Trap Hagen School of Design in New York City. Mary worked as a bookkeeper with Atlantic Pacific Tea Company. She was a volunteer for several years for the Alzheimers Association.
On July 11, 1954 she married Frank D. Caputo Sr. Frank predeceased her on June 19, 2001.
Mary is survived by her daughter Valerie Pisano (Tony) of Greenwich, and sons, Frank D. Caputo Jr. (Pilar) of Darien and Michael Caputo (Iriana) of Greenwich, and Jeffrey Caputo of Ohio; grandchildren Christopher (Cathy) Pisano, Anthony (Kate) Pisano, Nicole, Julia, Eric Michael, Jeffrey Jr., Kate, and Mia Caputo; great-grandchildren Michael, Maryn, and Guiliana Pisano.
Mary was predeceased by her grandson Michael Ryan Caputo.
Visitation will be at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich, on Wednesday, July 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Roch Church, 10 St. Roch Ave. Greenwich. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich.
