Obituary: Margaret Patricia Rich, 81; Devoted to Her Family

Margaret Patricia Rich, of Greenwich, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at The Nathaniel Witherell nursing home in Greenwich. She was 81.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 54 years, Robert Rich; her daughter, Karen Rich (Andrew) DeRosa of Stamford, her son, Robert (Susan) Rich, Jr. of Stratford; four grandchildren, Kaitlin and Kevin DeRosa of Stamford and Hannah and Libby Rich of Stratford; her brother, Richard (Marian) Molloy of Tullamore, Co. Offaly, Ireland; her sisters, Florence Bell of Norwalk and Maureen (John) Fox of Athlone, Co. Wesmeath, Ireland, and her nieces and nephews in both Ireland and the U.S.

Born in Ballincar, Co. Sligo, Ireland on March 17, 1932, she came to the U.S. in 1956, becoming a U.S citizen in 1987. She will be remembered as a woman who was truly devoted to her family and who always was willing to care for others selflessly. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at Leo P. Gallagher & Son, 31 Arch St., Greenwich. The funeral service will be private.
