Richard Stephan Basile passed away peacefully after a short courageous battle against cancer. He was 47.

Richard was born on July 25, 1966 in Greenwich, he was the loving son of Christine Basile of Stamford, and the late Richard Basile.
Mr. Basile was a 1984 graduate of Greenwich High School. He was a licensed Master Sheet Metal worker and a union member of Union 38.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by grandmother, Stella Stolar; brother Stephan Basile and his wife, Deborah; nephews Evan and Ryan Basile; his uncle, Theodore Stolar and wife Cathryn, uncle Walter Stolar and his wife Nona, aunt Donna Stolar, cousin Thaddeus Stolar, his wife Debra; second cousins Zachary and Katrine Stolar.
Friends may call at the Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc., 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich, from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 5. Burial will be private.
