Patricia J. Ferguson, 76; Long-time Greenwich Resident Who Worked as School Administrative Assistant

Calling hours are scheduled for Monday, Feb. 24 with the funeral scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25.


Patricia J. Ferguson of Greenwich, passed away Feb. 20, 2014. She was 76.

Born in Port Chester, NY on April 15, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Helen Kovac.

Mrs. Ferguson graduated from Port Chester High School in 1955 and lived most of her life in Greenwich. She worked for Greenwich Public Schools for 20 years as an administrative assistant, She was vice president of the PTA at Julian Curtis school, president of Wilbur Peck Court Tenants Association and vice president of Quarry Knoll Association.

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her husband James, with whom she raised six children, Jim (Lisa) of Greenwich, Chris (Lynette) of Southington, Brian (Ellyn) of North Haven, Laura Seele (Joe) of Milford, Jennifer Moffat (Stephen) of Trumbull, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother James Kovac of Riverside and sister Bonnie Fluskey of Buffalo, NY.

She was predeceased by her daughter Kathleen.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday Feb. 24, at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 25, at St. Mary's Church, 178 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich. Burial will be Private.
