Stella T. Miazga, 86; Former Arnold Bakery, Unilever Employee



Stella T. Miazga, of Greenwich, entered eternal rest on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at Crosby Commons, Shelton, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 86. 

Stella was born in Port Chester, NY on Jan. 5, 1927, daughter of the late Marcin and Magdalena Smialek Miazga.

Raised in Port Chester, NY and attend Port Chester Public Schools, Stella was a long-time resident of Greenwich and a member of First United Methodist Church. She worked for Arnold Bakery for more than 30 years as well as Unilever in various administrative positions.

She is survived by her niece Judith Curtin and her husband Tom of Port Chester, as well as her nephew Robert Miazga and his wife Kathy of Danbury, and their three daughters, Christine, Michele and Karen and husband Conrad.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Natalie and brothers Andrew, Michael, Joseph and Kenneth. 

Her family would like to thank the staff of Crosby Commons and Constellation Home Health for their outstanding care. 

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the Columbarium, at the First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, 108 Sound Beach Ave., Old Greenwich. A Funeral service will follow at the First United Methodist Church, 61 E. Putnam Ave., Greenwich. after which the family will receive friends.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent the American Cancer Society , Constellation Home Health or Adopt-a-Dog.
